Plums are one of my favorite fruit. I remember as a 6 year old the fruit vendor coming down our street with a wheeled cart.He always had the most delicious plums. The only ones available now at the grocery stores are tasteless hard lumps, so disappointing if you know what real plums taste like. We have a nice selection of heirloom and more modern plums. Plums, like many fruit and nut trees, need at least two to pollenize each other.
American Plums need to pollinate one another. You need two from in this grouping to get good fruit set.

Black Ice- Purplish, with red flesh
Elmore Golden Yellow with yellow flesh, small abundant fruit, loads of blossoms, hybrid vigor. The clear winner here at our farm. This plant is probably a hybrid with european plum.
